Ratings
Every score, highest first.
One number for everything on the shelf, out of 100. Everything here is the one I would recommend for the job. The number says how few caveats come with it.

What the number means
- 90–100
- I would hand it to a friend. Anything worth knowing is on its page.
- 85–89
- The one I would buy, with a catch. The catch is on its page.
- Under 85
- It does not stay on the shelf. Nothing here sits under 85.
The score is not an average of the four bars. The bars say where it is strong. The number is the recommendation.
The four bars
Works
Does it do the job you bought it for.
Feel
Weight, noise, and how it sits in your hand.
Upkeep
Cleaning, charging, and refills.
Around the house
How it fits into a room and a routine.
How a thing gets here
Someone asks which one to buy. I use the likely ones at home, at work, and out in the world. The shelf keeps the one I would actually hand over. Once the door is open, you can check the weight of it in the shop.
I am one person. There is no lab and no panel. A brand does not buy a score. When something better shows up, the old score leaves with the old product.
